Areas we cover around Norwich

City Garden Services is based in Drayton and carries out garden repairs across Norwich, Norfolk and into Suffolk.

City gardens and beyond

City Garden Services is run by James Steven Landscapes & Lawns from Drayton, on the north-west side of Norwich. Most of our smaller jobs are in the city and the suburbs around it, where gardens are compact, access can be tight and repairs are often more useful than a full redesign.

City gardens bring their own planning. Terraced houses often have no side access, so materials and waste go through the house. Streets with resident permit parking need a plan for the van. Shared boundaries mean neighbours on both sides. We ask about all of this when you get in touch, so the day itself runs smoothly.

Outside the city we still cover Norfolk and travel into Suffolk. If you are not sure whether you are in range, send your postcode with your enquiry.

Places we visit most

  • Golden Triangle and Unthank Road

Victorian terraces with long, narrow back gardens, where access is often through the house or a shared passage.

  • City centre and NR3

Small yards and courtyard gardens off streets like those around Magdalen Street and Anglia Square, where permit parking needs planning.

  • Thorpe Hamlet and Thorpe St Andrew

Sloping gardens near the river, where paving and steps can shift and lawns can be hard to keep level.

  • Eaton and Cringleford

Larger family gardens with established lawns, fences and patios that need repairing rather than replacing.

  • Hellesdon and Drayton

Our home patch: semi-detached and detached homes with front and back lawns and plenty of fencing.

  • Sprowston and Old Catton

Post-war and newer homes where fences, side gates and paving are reaching the age when repairs start.

  • Costessey and Queen's Hills

Newer estates where builders' lawns and side gates often need attention within a few years.

  • Taverham and Horsford

Edge-of-city villages with bigger plots, where overgrown corners and boundary fences are common jobs.

  • Wymondham and Hethersett

Market town and village homes to the south-west, where we visit for lawns, paving and gates.

  • Further into Norfolk and Suffolk

We also travel further across Norfolk and into Suffolk. Ask, and we will tell you straight away if we can help.
